Stockings with Care Santas receive a wish list for a New York City child whose family either lives in a homeless shelter or is in danger of being homeless. Santas fulfill one, two or all three wishes for the child, wrap the gifts, then drop them off at the Santa's Workshop where Stockings with Care elves organize the gifts and prepare them for delivery. The gifts are then delivered to the parents or guardians who present the gifts to the children, preserving their dignity while ensuring the gifts received are the very ones the child wished for. Stockings with Care provides gifts for minors ranging from newborns through high schoolers and works with six partner agencies accredited by the NYC Department of Homeless Services.
