We can't believe a year has passed, and here we are again. We hope you had a wonderful year and are looking forward to seeing you all again. I think we all know this might be our most challenging year. As we begin planning for the drive we are setting things in motion now so that the weekend goes as smoothly as possible. This year's drive will take place Thursday Dec. 8 thru Sunday Dec. 11 and the location is:  126 Leroy Street, between Hudson and Greenwich. The entrance is in the loading dock area. Leroy Street is one-way, so please keep that in mind if you're driving in.

Santa Captain - Help us find some Santas!

  • A Santa captain is the liaison between SWC and your Santas. A Santa Captain will assign Santas for a group of children from your circle of friends and relatives etc. and follow up with them to ensure the gift has been purchased and gets to us by the weekend.

  • We have specific instructions we will give if you are interested.

  • Many Santa Captains are also Sorter Captains if they can make it to the Santa's Workshop weekend.

Morning Muscle - Have muscle... Like to flex? Then we need you! (for set-up & load-out, of course...)

  • A set-up helper arrives to the site early on Thursday morning to help load in our supplies & stays to set up the space for a productive weekend.

  • Some other tasks include setting up dozens of tables and hanging heavy lights from the ceilings.

  • A disassembler arrives to the site late Sunday morning to help us load out gifts into the shelter's vans & trucks as well as take down all those lights & tables.

Shopper - Be a last minute elf!

  • We need people willing to go to a store(s) to do last minute shopping over the weekend to buy wishes not fulfilled. Stockings With Care will reimburse you that day!
